NAGPUR: Even as western Maharashtra is hijacking institutions from Nagpur, the government has sanctioned one major state level office in the city - a separate commissionerate for implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural EGS (MGNREGS).
The credit for this development goes to employment minister Nitin Raut, who is perhaps the only politician from the city to achieve this feat. The other Congress ministers Satish Chaturvedi, Anees Ahmed and Vilas Muttemwar have made hollow promises that are yet to be fulfilled. Read more
