Facility for 23 hospitals in Kochi handles waste from 3,200

KOCHI: Every day, 32 trucks navigate central Kerala's roads to ferry hospital waste from 3,200 hospitals, with total bed strength of 76,000, to Palakkad.

This huge amount of waste is incinerated using a facility set up in 2004, meant for handling waste generated from just 23 hospitals with bed strength of 490. Read more
