Ahmedabad : To overcome the acute shortage of labour, especially skilled labour, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has joined hands with state government’s training and employment department for conducting short-term courses in construction and gardening.
AMC will sign a memorandum of understanding with the state government for conducting these courses. “The MoU will be signed by July 15 and training will start soon. In the first two batches, 250 labourers working with registered contractors of AMC will be trained,” said an official of AMC’s urban community development department (UCD).
