NEW DELHI: Following the Supreme Court appointed monitoring committee's directions the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) conducted an efficiency test at the multilevel parking at Sarojini Nagar on Wednesday. Though the private concessionaire — DLF— was able to achieve the target by parking and retrieving 178 cars in an hour, parking problem persists at one of the city's most popular shopping destinations.
During the two-hour long test run, there was long queue outside the automated multilevel car parking at Sarojini Nagar. Shoppers and traders had to wait for nearly 30 to 45 minutes to park and retrieve their cars. DLF claims that there were too many cars due to which the waiting period had increased. Read more
