JAIPUR: The increased awareness about responsible growth is shifting focus on use of renewable energy, which is still negligible, compared to power generated from coal-based sources.
Speaking at an event on renewable energy and climate change organized by CII and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, governor Margaret Alva said, "Energy is the key to progress but at the same time it is a big challenge. We should prepare a work plan according to the nature for energy production. In the field of wind energy too, India is globally positioned at number 5 by generating 11,000 MW wind energy after US, Germany, China and Spain." Read more
