THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Urban affairs minister Manjalamkuzhy Ali will inaugurate the new plastic shredding unit installed by the corporation at the Palayam market on Thursday.
The unit, bought at a cost of Rs 3 lakh, has the capacity to process four tonnes of plastic daily. Earlier, the corporation plan to install the unit at the Manacaud market had to be withdrawn following protests from locals. Read more
