NOIDA: After months of missing out on achieving their target outputs due to acute power shortage, industries in Greater Noida have now begun operating at their full potential following a new electricity rostering schedule. The Greater Noida chapter of Indian Industries Association (IIA), after a series of consultative meetings with Noida Power Company Limited, has also been assured of other welfare measures, including time-bound redressal of complaints and exigency in handing out new connections.
As per the earlier rostering system, where industries were not supplied power for two days in a week, the new rostering system allows cuts on just one day. This system, which also allows for lesser hours of power cuts to industries at night, has come as a breather for the industrial sector. "We are now trying to work towards achieving the target average monthly output. We are working with out full potential to make up for losses in the earlier months," said SP Sharma, secretary of IIA.
