Gurgaon : The first pre-monsoon showers on Friday brought the much-awaited respite for the Millennium City residents, who had been facing prolonged and frequent power cuts during the peak of summer. For the past one week, the temperature in most part of northern India hovered between 35 and 45 degrees Celsius. The intense heat wave and humid atmosphere had made life difficult for the people.
Although the residents of Gurgaon were anxiously waiting for the monsoon, now they are concerned over waterlogging and blockage of sewer lines in many areas due to poor road condition and ill-maintained drainage systems. Read more
