BHOPAL : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that the metro rail projects in Bhopal and Indore be implemented within a definite time-frame. The projects, estimated at `8,000 crore, will be completed with 70 per cent loan and 15 per cent grants from the Central and State Governments.
Chouhan gave these instructions at a review meeting of Urban Administration and Development department here on Monday. Minister Babulal Gaur and Chief Secretary R Parasuram were present at the meeting. Global tenders would be invited after the Centre's approval of detailed project report (DPR) of the metro rail projects, the participants at the meeting were told. Read more
