Panchkula : Ten years, 18 lakh and two court cases later, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has not yet transferred a Sector 8 booth to its rightful owner.
Booth number 3 in Sector 8, Panchkula was bought by S K Vohra in 1990, in the name of his wife and son. The booth, however, was taken possession of by HUDA as its installments were not paid on time, and eviction proceedings were initiated in 2000. However, Vohra submitted an undertaking to HUDA, stating that he would deposit the due amount whenever required.
