Mumbai : Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan warned citizens about the problem of water scarcity in the state on Wednesday, and asked for judicious use of water. “For the past two years, 65 talukas have been fighting the problem of drought… Only 48% of all reservoirs have filled till now. Not just rural, but even urban areas are going to be hit by water scarcity soon,” said Chavan in his message on Independence Day. To deal with this situation, Chavan said, citizens would need to save every raindrop and make sure it is absorbed into the ground.
