Bhopal: The 66th Independence day has brought cheers for the Madhya Pradesh government employees, with the Chief Minister announcing implementation of the Agrawal Commission's recommendations which would pave way for big increase in their allowances. It would however, put a burden of Rs 500 crore on the state exchequer.

MP to increase allowances of employees
Kanhaiya Lal Agrawal, Minister General Administration, MP government gave details of the recommendations of the commission in a press conference which was held on Tuesday. He also said that the state government is already paying invariably higher permanent TA (Travel Allowance), double working allowance, festival allowances including food allowances to the employees.
