SBI Is India's Most Valued Public Sector Company, Overtakes ONGC

State Bank Of India, the largest public sector bank in India, on Tuesday, overtook ONGC(Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) to become the most valued PSU(Public Sector Undertaking) stock in terms of market capitalisation.

As per the BSE data, ONGC trading market cap was of Rs 2,36,003 and SBI surpassed ONGC with the market cap of Rs2,39,808 crore.

This year State Bank Of India has outperformed the market with 16 percent ascend against 10.5 percent gain in the benchmark index.

Earlier ONGC used to be India's most valued company in terms of market cap, but SBI has beaten ONGC. Now, SBI is also in the list of 10 most valued companies in India. SBI is in 5th position while ONGC is in 7th position.
