LUCKNOW: Director of the state's Forensic Science Laboratories (FSL) S B Upadhyay has landed up in a controversy as past ghosts have come to haunt him. Patna police had issued a warrant against Upadhyay in February after allegations of embezzlement of Rs 19 lakh levelled against him during his tenure as director of Bihar forensic laboratory, were found true, confirms Patna police chief Manu Maharaaj.
Upadhyay who sits at the Mahanagar-based forensic laboratory, heads the Agra, Lucknow and Varanasi laboratories, besides district field units of the state. He was officiating director of Bihar forensic laboratory before his appointment as director of FSL in UP. Read more
