ALLAHABAD: Protesting against the insanitary conditions prevailing in the city, corporators from the city have written to the urban development minister, seeking his intervention to ensure cleanliness in different parts of the city.
Leading the corporators, Ramesh Mishra alleged that Allahabad municipal corporation (AMC) officers are assigning sanitary workers jobs other than sanitation. He said there is a clear government order that states that an employee should do the work for the post for which he is appointed. However, this GO is being violated by officers of AMC as they are not utilizing sanitary workers for the cleanliness work, he said. Read more
